Headshots with Baker-Peterson, LLC.

Some time ago, I had the privilege of photographing headshots with a fun bunch of guys from Baker-Peterson, LLC. Owners Steve Baker, Dan Baker and Ron Peterson, featured above, were rumored to be shy about the shoot, but you couldn’t tell once we got going. The shoot was fun, and with the assistance of director of safety & administrative operations, Kate Baker, we were on a roll. It’s not JUST about lighting, composition, and all the technical stuff — it’s about the flow of things, the relationship between photographer and client, and energy of the room. ALTHOUGH the technical aspects are critical, too.

Baker-Peterson, LLC is a Midwest-based, veteran-owned utility locating company. They work with companies in utility, construction, excavating, environmental, engineering and surveying, and they offer training in damage prevention, consulting on damage claims and investigations, and services in expert witness. They have offices in Indiana, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma, so they serve markets across the U.S. with a combined 70 years in the utility locating industry.
